I am back yet again for day seven. Today’s topic is quite interesting so lets see what I can do with it.
Day 7- Take a walk until you find a tree you identify with, then write a poem using the tree as a metaphor for your life.

I don’t know why I’m here
I don’t know whether I belong.
Maybe I’m supposed to catch the clouds,
When they decide it’s time to fall.
My branches twisted and gnarly
Covered in hard, withering bark
I’m like and old dying apple tree
that lacks both apples and a heart.
I don’t know why I’m here
I don’t know whether I belong.
Maybe I’m supposed to carry mountains
When they come toppling down.
My leaves abandoned me,
They wilted away turning brownish- grey
I’m like a song
Whose lyrics ran away.
I don’t know why I’m here
I don’t think I fit in at all.
I just know that one day
I’ll be able to stand up strong
and I’ll be able to say,
“I belong.”
You definitely belong.

Yes 🙂
This wasn’t about me- but the tree.

You, and the tree, both belong.
